Bauer Group brings moments of joy to every table — and to the OMR stage

Bauer Gruppe x OMR

Catering & Prize Draw at the Premium Food Stand, XXL Sampling, and an Exclusive Concert by Music Star LEA

There’s something to celebrate: After making its OMR debut last year with the Bauer! brand, things are set to continue. On May 6 and 7, 2025, the corporate group will showcase its successful brands Bauer and Frikoni, along with licensing partner Layenberger, at Europe’s largest digital and marketing festival, which attracts over 70,000 industry professionals to Hamburg annually. The Bauer Group is leveraging this reach to bring its brand portfolio to life for all attendees with the vision: “Moments of joy on every table.” Special highlights include an exclusive concert by German pop icon LEA on May 6 at 5:30 p.m. on the Blue Stage, as well as the exclusive Bauer Yo & Go drinking yogurt, co-created with and for OMR, which will be sampled at the exhibition grounds as a limited edition.

50 Years of Der Große Bauer: A Jubilee to Celebrate

As one of the best-known brands in the dairy industry, Bauer has stood for quality, sustainability, and taste for decades.

This year, the iconic product “Der Große Bauer” celebrates its 50th anniversary. And that milestone will be properly celebrated at OMR: 50 varieties, 50 cakes, and numerous tastings at the booth in Hall B6 will invite attendees to join the celebration and experience moments of joy.

Experience the diversity of the Bauer Group at OMR

Frikoni has been part of the Bauer Group since 2015 and is a specialist in fresh-cut and salad products. Whether desserts, fruit, high-protein bowls, gourmet salads, or dressings – the Niendorf-based brand offers everything in a to-go format, making it perfect for a quick and easy meal or a snack in between.

The high-protein brand Layenberger is one of the Bauer Group’s licensing partners.

Together they offer functional dairy products with an extra portion of protein. These include puddings in the flavors salted caramel, chocolate, vanilla, and cinnamon with a protein content of 22 grams per 200g cup.

All these brands will be showcased at this year’s OMR at the Bauer Group’s premium stand in Hall B6 and will be part of the catering offering.

A Joyful Reunion

For Tim Schwertner, CCO and managing director of the Bauer Group, the renewed appearance at OMR is exactly the right step: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be part of OMR again - this time as the Bauer Group. It’s a fantastic platform to represent our brand portfolio. We’re celebrating 50 years of Der Große Bauer, but we’re also looking ahead to the future of the Bauer Group—true to the motto: Rooted in tradition, at home in the future. And with the OMR team, we have a great partner at our side to share our vision with the world.”

OMR founder Philipp Westermeyer echoes this excitement for the renewed partnership: “Companies like the Bauer Group show that tradition and innovation do not have to be at odds. With a success story that dates back to the 19th century, the Bauer Group still stands for top quality today because it embraces progress and is bold enough to help shape it. And that’s exactly the goal of OMR.”

Full Bauer Power on May 6 and 7: Here’s what OMR visitors can expect

The Bauer Group invites trade show attendees to experience its brand diversity in an interactive environment:

  • At the double premium stand in Hall B6, there will be exclusive catering with creative dishes including bowls with Bauer yogurt, Asian stir-fries with Frikoni vegetables, veggie burgers with Bauer cheese, and croissants with Layenberger chocolate spread. In addition, to celebrate the anniversary of Der Große Bauer, there will be a total of 50 cakes served over the two days. OMR founder Philipp Westermeyer will personally cut one of these cakes on Tuesday. And Bauer has another special attraction: a wind chamber where everyone who takes part wins a prize.
  • It’s definitely worth keeping an eye out for promoters in the Bauer look because: To mark the renewed partnership, Bauer and OMR have developed a limited edition drinking yogurt that will be sampled exclusively at the event. The new Bauer x OMR “Yo & Go” comes in the flavors peach-passionfruit and strawberry-mint.
  • As they saying goes: the best is saved for last. That’s why you’ll find the Bauer Group on Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m. on the Blue Stage, where visitors can hear from speakers Florian and Markus Bauer, fifth-generation  family entrepreneurs, about the corporate group, its history, and career opportunities. The 50th anniversary of "Der Große Bauer" is being celebrated in style, featuring none other than LEA. The "Leiser" singer will perform an exclusive concert on the Blue Stage, including a special birthday serenade for the iconic yogurt brand.
